Guiding Light is partnering with Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids for a pilot program to support its Offender Reentry Programs, which are designed to help those with criminal convictions find employmentand become contributing members of the community.
Providing parolees and released prisoners with the resources they need to be successful is the only way to overcome these challenges. Reentry programs, job training, education and counseling will be necessary. Many states already have programs in place, but it is important for ex offenders to know where to get help and who to ask if they need more support.
Prison reentry programs are an important part of an ex-offenders success upon release from prison. Let’s discuss the types of services most needed.
