What does LifeChangers, Inc. do for the community?
At LifeChangers,our main goal is to keep justice-involved individuals OUT of the penal system. Studies show that the best way to accomplish this, is by offering what are commonly called “wraparound” and “reentry” programs and services.
These services and programs include, but are not limited to, transitional housing, and education, such as employment skills training.
We, at LifeChangers, understand that simple economics – no work means no support – is one of the top reasons for incarceration and re-arrest. If someone cannot find work that pays enough to support themselves and their family, they are more likely to turn to criminal activity to meet those needs.
Our virtual and in-person workshops teach participants how to locate and secure gainful employment.
You will also learn how to complete a job application, and how to write your resume. We teach you interviewing techniques that will help you secure the job you are applying for.
Does LifeChangers, Inc. help justice-involved individuals find jobs?
Yes. LifeChangers is involved with a large network of organizations and agencies that offer emplloyment opportunities. We are creating a toolkit full of great resources that are available in the Atlanta, Ga area. We are always adding more resources to share..
Is there a charge to get help LifeChangers, Inc. or register with L.I.T. Academy?
NO!. LifeChangers is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are able to provide these services, programs and workshops because of generous people who donate to support justice-involved men and women, rejoining society.
How do I get notified of upcoming workshops and programs?
You may register for the Virtual Employment Skills Workshop at any time. We offer this workshop each Tuesday from 9am-12pm EST. Registration is free and required.
